Yuhua Hamasaki and a several awesome Seattle queens put on a show at a local favorite, The Queer Bar. As the name suggests, Queer Bar is known for hosting lgbtq performers week after week. They must be as obsessed with Ru Paul’s Drag Race as we are, they previously hosted the afterparty for Bianco Del Rio, and they even have a Ru Paul’s Drag Race trivia night coming up on May 7th.

Yuhua’s performance was hosted by the hilarious Abbey Roads along with the rest of the wonderful MX Cast: Lucy Paradisco, Stacey Starstruck, and Visage Larue. Isabella Extynn, the Glamazon Goddess of Seattle, was also a guest performer on Friday -and if you haven’t had a chance to see one of her shows, you’re missing out. There’s a reason they call her a Glamazon Goddess (hint: she’s absolutely fabulous).

Yuhua Hamasaki, just recently left Season 10 of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and she totally killed it. It was mentioned more than once by the judges on Drag Race that Yuhua has a uniqueness to her performances that stands out from the other queens and the audience got to witness this in person on Friday. For me, the most exciting part was getting to see her fabulous feather costume up close (minus that red wig that I’m convinced sent her home). The costume was far more beautiful in person than I could have imagined! Even though she looked absolutely stunning, it was her performance that was really worth the ticket price. She has a fabulous stage presence and makes the whole audience feel like they’re on a journey with her, one they never want to end. It’s impossible to have a bad time when Yuhua is on stage! She is a talented performer and designer that I absolutely can’t wait to see more of in the future!
